A Collaboration of Five Art Galleries

Five art galleries in Occoquan, VA to include Art a la Carte Gallery, Artists’ Undertaking Gallery, Local Colour, The Loft Gallery of Occoquan, and Vizia Art Gallery will be launching the town’s Inaugural Art Walk on Saturday, June 21 from  11am to 5pm. The event is a joint effort by the town’s galleries and will include demonstrations by local artists, studio tours, games, prizes, and refreshments which will vary by location.

ARTIST OF THE MONTH

This month, we are featuring Nancy Ennis.

Nancy is a silversmith and jewelry artist. “I have always loved jewelry. Even as a child, I was mesmerized by it. I spent hours creating and taking apart any jewelry I could find.” See Nancy’s intricately designed jewelry on her website page, or better yet, come into the Gallery and see it in person!

Accolades and Events

Shaoping Zeng, Nancy Ennis and Bob Friedenberg will be participating in Frederick Festival of the Arts on June 7-8.   (Shaoping Zeng is the featured artist on this year’s flyer)

Zoe Linn Jarvis will have a booth at the Spring Pop-Up Market in Downtown Bethesda selling her original cut paper artwork. The Market is Saturday, June 7 and Sunday, June 8 from 11am-6pm.

Bob Friedenberg will also be showing his artwork at Manayunk Arts Manayunk (Philadelphia), PA June 21 - 22, 2025 and
East Hampton Art Affair at Herrick Park in East Hampton, NY
June 27 - 29, 2025

Ellen Rosenthal’s exhibit of her botanical block prints, "Garden Friends" at Green Spring Gardens in the historic house located in Alexandria, VA  continues through June 27. The historic house is open Wednesday-Sunday 12:00-4:30 PM. Call ahead to be sure the exhibit will be open for viewing.

Victoria Barnes will have matted prints and cards available as part of the “Vibrancy Unleashed” show at the Van Landingham Gallery, Studio 311, within the Torpedo Factory Art Center. The show runs June 1-30.
