ARTIST OF THE MONTH

This month we are featuring Patricia Giovannoni. Patricia works primarily in acrylics and encaustic painting. In addition to her paintings, she has a significant body of copper works in collaboration with Patti Durbin. Patricia is currently expanding her artistic practice by experimenting with metal etching and the incorporation of resin into her pieces. Take a look at Patricia’s work on her artist page, or even better, stop by the Gallery and view her work in person. Patricia will be working at the Gallery on December 4, 6, 12 and December 19 and 30.

Accolades and Events

Victoria Barnes will be participating in the following shows:
- “A Winter Wonderland” show at the Van Landingham Gallery, Studio 311, within the Torpedo Factory Art Center. The show runs December 1 - 30.
- Del Ray Artisans Fine Art & Fine Craft Holiday Market, Alexandria, VA
December 5 - 7, Friday 6-9pm, Saturday 9am-5pm, Sunday 11am-5pm
- Snow Daze at Aslin Brewery, Alexandria, VA December 13 from 12pm to 5pm

Bob Friedenberg will be participating in the following shows:
- McLean Holiday Arts & Crafts Show, McLean, VA, December 5 - 7
- Capital Art and Craft Festival (Winter), Chantilly, VA, December 12 - 14

Bob Friedenberg’s work, “Drums” was juried into the Art League’s December show at the Torpedo Factory. The show runs from December 1-31.
