It’s March, and we’ll bet everyone is looking forward to Spring! March is all about change. It’s when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold, the trees begin to bloom and the grass begins to turn green. With all of that change comes the opportunity to add new artwork to your home! We have so many new pieces of work in the Gallery - stop in and see what the artists have been doing over the winter!

This month we are featuring Ellen Rosenthal.  Ellen is an artist who concentrates on traditional block printing, working with a variety of subject matter--botanicals, still lifes, interior scenes, and landscapes. Although it is possible to make numerous prints from the same block, each one is pulled by hand and is thus considered to be a "fine art original", and is signed with her signature and an edition number.   A native of Maine, Ellen Rosenthal has been living in Woodbridge for the past 25 years.  She is a retired FCPS art teacher and is enjoying the opportunity to work on her art.  In addition to the Artists Undertaking Gallery, she also occasionally shows her work at the Del Ray Artisans in Alexandria and at the Art League of Virginia, as well as at other venues.  Check out her work on her linked web page, or better yet, stop in the Gallery and see it in person!
